In Our State
The new year has begun, and NARAL Pro-Choice America's new "Who Decides?" report on women's reproductive rights in the U.S. is out. Where does Missouri stand in 2014? The state has received an F and currently ranks 45th in the country on reproductive rights, with anti-choice laws on the books including an abortion ban; biased counseling and mandatory delay; direct state funding of crisis pregnancy centers; insurance prohibition for abortion; and numerous other anti-choice laws restricting provision of and access to reproductive health services, including abortion.
Contact your Missouri State Senator or Representative
and tell them to vote against any legislation that interferes with a woman's right to make her own decisions about her reproductive health. Encourage your legislators to vote for common sense, pro-choice legislation that protects women's health while reducing unintended pregnancies.
