Congressman Carnahan's Pro-Choice Record
Last week, the House of Representatives considered the Labor Health and Human Services Appropriations bill. Continuing his strong support for reproductive choice, Congressman Russ Carnahan voted against the Pence Amendment to restrict Title X family planning funds from being used by Planned Parenthood clinics. During the 110th Congress, Congressman Carnahan has cosponsored 10 bills in support of reproductive choice, including the Prevention First Act, which aims to reduce unintended pregnancies by providing full access to contraception and comprehensive sex education.
