The Access Project is on the Move!

Posted: 02/17/2005

NARAL Pro-Choice Missouri is actively engaged in updating the Pharmacy Access section of the Access Project Report which was initially released in the fall of 2001.

The Access Project Report survey found that 48% of pharmacies in Missouri do not fill prescriptions for emergency contraception and that 75% of pharmacists have the option to decide whether or not to fill a prescription for emergency contraception.

NARAL Pro-Choice Missouri is currently engineering a new project that will both update and expand the Pharmacy Access section of the Access Project Report. As we embark on the path of bringing the original report up to date there is a lot of leg work that needs to get done and we need your help! We are looking for volunteers who would be willing to help out by calling pharmacies across the state and asking a set of questions about their morning-after pill distribution policies and knowledge. If you think you might be willing to help out in any way please call our office at (314) 531-8616 and ask for Melissa or e-mail Melissa.Kimball@prochoicemissouri.org.

The staff at NARAL Pro-Choice Missouri thank-you in your advance for your willingness to commit to working on this project, we know that in the end our hard work will pay off and are excited about generating these new results.
