We Want to Hear Your Story—Without Apologies
“Before modern feminism, stories of female ambition were silenced or erased; even now, they are told with apology” --Harriet G. Lerner
NARAL Pro-Choice Missouri is looking to reach out courageous women who have a story, good or bad, that relates to reproductive health access in our state. Have you been denied access to Emergency Contraception by a pharmacist, doctor, or even by emergency room staff? Have you had difficulty accessing safe, legal abortion? Or have you been able to access reproductive healthcare and it positively impacted your life?
By sharing your story you will help NARAL Pro-Choice Missouri to really connect the work that we are doing in communities across the state to the true reality of what it means to have or not have essential reproductive health services. If by sharing your story even one person is able to really understand what choice is all about it means that you have used your experience to gain power and indendence for yourself and other women.
Your stories can be annonnomous, but we would prefer it if you felt empowered enough to sign them. Send your stories to Melissa at melissa.kimball@prochoicemissouri.org or 4144 Lindell, Ste. 505, St. Louis, MO 63108.
