Missouri NARAL Extends Early Endorsement to Governor Bob Holden
On October 4, 2003, at Missouri NARAL's
Annual Auction Fundraiser, Dianne Modrell, Chair of the Missouri NARAL PAC, announced to the Governor and the capacity crowd in attendance, that the organization was proud to be able to extend to the Governor an early endorsement for his campaign. The news of the endorsement was presented with a campaign contribution in the amount of over 1/2 of the legal limits. "We are eager to work alongside the Governor on his campaign, since he demonstrated such strength of character and integrity by vetoing legislation that was unfair, unsound and unnecessary in Missouri, as well as too extreme for Missouri in that it did not allow an exception for victims of rape or incest. We need to re-elect Bob Holden because he understands the importance of every individual's fundamental right to privacy," said Carolyn Sullivan, Executive Director.
